After more than three months have passed since the biological attacks on schools, the Islamic Republic’s security institutions have not been able to find the perpetrators of these attacks and put an end to the serial attacks, although they have claimed some arrests.
New Universe:
The government officials kept silent and secretive about the chemical attacks for several weeks, but even the spread of these attacks and the official announcement of the existence of such a nationwide threat did not bring clarity from the Islamic Republic.
Confusion in the statements of various authorities reinforces two possibilities: either these attacks were carried out by a part of the government or the security and law enforcement agencies are unable to find the perpetrators!
The lack of work and negligence of the security, judicial and executive institutions in the last three months shows that the Islamic Republic is unable to protect the security and lives of its citizens with its chronic irresponsibility.
People consider evidence such as sending repressive forces to schools and suppressing students and families and advising officials to lie and cover up sufficient for the involvement of the Islamic Republic in chemical attacks.
The Islamic Republic, which has used the most deadly repressions against protesting citizens for its own survival and brags on the international stage about “the first power of the region” and “the depth of strategic influence”, has taken such a corrupt approach to the sacrifice of thousands of teenagers and the future builders of Iran. which shows that citizens are not safe under any circumstances.
Organized chemical attacks on schools and student dormitories was one of the most important news in the last days of 1401. Although these attacks started on December 9 with widespread poisoning of students in the “Noor” Girls’ Conservatory in Qom, they were faced with concealment and denial and censorship of news by the Islamic Republic for more than two months.
In one of the first official statements about this, Majid Mohebi, vice president of Qom University of Medical Sciences, announced on February 16 that he had sent experts from the Defense Organization to Qom and conducted tests on the poisoning of students. Little by little, representatives of the Islamic Council approved the attacks, including Ahmed Amirabadi Farahani, a representative of Qom in the 18th Bahman parliament, confirming that poisonings have been repeated 7 times in Qom’s schools, and demanded that a special delegation be sent to this city to investigate the issue.
In March, however, the frequency and geographic distribution of attacks increased greatly, and it was no longer possible to deny this organized action. According to the latest statistics announced by the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as of March 15, more than five thousand students in 25 provinces and about 230 schools have been targeted by terrorist chemical attacks.
However, Harana news agency announced in a report that at least 290 attacks on schools have been reported since the beginning of December 1401, affecting at least 7068 students in 99 cities out of 28 provinces of the country. This report emphasized that the number of identified students is only related to 103 schools that have announced statistics in this regard.
Chemical and biological attacks started from girls’ high schools in Qom and then reached several high schools in Tehran and Borujerd. But not only female students in high schools were the victims of these attacks; So far, several boys’ and girls’ primary schools in different cities, several student dormitories, including in Borujerd and Urmia, as well as Isfahan University and Mohaghegh Ardabili University in Ardabil city, were also attacked and many students were poisoned. Scattered news of poisoning in shopping malls and subways and even the emergency room of the hospital where the poisoned girls were taken have also been published.
All this while the official institutions have not yet submitted a report about this. On the other hand, the government officials tried to remain silent and cover-up for several weeks, and even the spread of attacks and the official announcement of the existence of such a nationwide threat have not brought transparency from the Islamic Republic.
According to the scattered information published by the Ministry of Health, most of the poisonings were done using compounds of nitrogen gas (N2). Nitrogen gas is odorless and colorless, and its pure release in a closed space or its compounds can be extremely dangerous. Ringing in the ears, nausea, convulsions and severe fatigue and lethargy, dizziness, headache, shortness of breath, muscle cramps and numbness, and neurological symptoms are among the symptoms of nitrogen gas poisoning.
similar organized attacks; From Putin to the Taliban!
Terrorist attacks using chemical substances have made it to the top of the world news several times in the past years, and it shows that the use of this method for assassination or group suppression is becoming a practice by repressive governments as well as Islamist terrorist groups. A year ago, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, who was mediating between Ukrainian and Russian authorities to stop the war, was poisoned with “chemical weapons” along with two other Russian and Ukrainian negotiators.
The “Blingcat” website discussed their poisoning in a report and wrote that Vladimir Putin was “angry” about Abramovich’s mediation and that he was the carrier of a letter from Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine.
Five years ago, in March 2018, Sergei Viktorovich Skripal, a former Russian military intelligence officer, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned in Salisbury, UK. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons announced after an extensive investigation about this poisoning that the poisoning of these two attacks was organized and that nerve gas was used during this attack. British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson blamed Russia for the attack.
Although the history of chemical attacks and assassinations goes back to the time of the former warlordism, one of the most famous poisonings took place in 2005 by Chechen Islamists in schools in the northwest of this region. School students were serially exposed to poisoning with symptoms similar to Iranian students, including anesthesia, convulsions, weakness, forgetfulness, suffocation, numbness, and temporary muscle paralysis. The Russian federal government formed a commission to follow up on the serial poisoning of schools, but the final result announced by the commission was “mass psychosis”!
The Putin government’s efforts to end this terrorist case went so far that Anna Politkovskaya, a critical journalist who investigated the poisoning of Chechen students, was suspiciously murdered in 2007 on Vladimir Putin’s birthday.
Similar terrorist attacks on schools by Islamist forces occurred in Afghanistan a few years later. In 2014, several girls’ schools were attacked in Herat Province, Afghanistan. Hundreds of students and a number of teachers were poisoned during these attacks and went to the hospital, and the Taliban terrorist group, which was not in control of the Afghan government at that time, accepted the responsibility for the attacks and announced that it targeted female students because of the group’s opposition to girls’ education. . The poisoning of students in Afghanistan and Chechnya was similar to the poisoning of Iranian students in the past weeks, with the same symptoms of poisoning due to the inhalation of gas caused by the evaporation of solid and liquid substances or the spread of gas in the atmosphere of schools.
Stupid confusion or terroristic criminality
After more than three months have passed since the beginning of the attacks, it is still not clear which people and groups are the leaders and perpetrators of these widespread, organized and coordinated attacks. The confusion in the statements of various government officials reinforces two possibilities: either these attacks are carried out by a part of the government apparatus and, like serial killings, it is difficult for the government to piece together. Or the attacks are so calculated and organized that they have confused and confused the security and law enforcement agencies and they have not yet been able to find traces of its agents.
After presenting the official reports of the poisoning of at least 117 students in the city of Qom and the gathering of the parents of the students in front of the Qom governorate on 25th of Bahman, the two ministries related to these attacks, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, showed the first official reactions. Health Minister Bahram Ain Elahi called the poisonings mild, and Youssef Nouri, the Minister of Education, blamed “rumors of foreign media waves” for spreading news about the poisoning of students. In the same days, a picture of a letter from Mehdi Masri, the president of Qom University of Medical Sciences, addressed to Mohsen Oruji, director of crisis management of Qom province, was published, in which, referring to the widespread poisoning of students, he demanded to take samples of the poisoned students’ exhaled breath in freezer nylon bags. Also, at the same time as the projective positions of the ministers of health and education, the governor of Qom announced the arrival of intelligence and security agencies and the Revolutionary Guards to investigate the case of poisoning.
In March, the government finally formed a committee headed by the Ministry of Interior to investigate the issue, and the Ministry of Information has also been responsible for the security follow-up of these attacks.
In the meantime, in its latest statement, the Ministry of Interior put the responsibility of organized poisonings in schools on the shoulders of protesting citizens participating in the revolutionary movement and wrote that “some of the arrested have a history of participating in riots and communicating with hostile media.”
But the Ministry of Information in a statement published two days ago claimed that there is still no serious clue in the hands of this security institution. In this notice, it is stated that “Through the series of investigations and follow-ups, the causes of some previous incidents have been discovered, but the impossibility of scientific generalization of the discovered cases to all the reported cases, causes reflection on the notification until obtaining conclusive results that can be generalized to other cases. became.”
Who is responsible?
This is while the reports tell about the presence of security forces in schools after the attack, alongside police and emergency officers, which shows that since the very first case of attacks, security institutions, including the Ministry of Information, have been involved in organized biological attacks. In such a situation, the statements of the government officials are only a cover-up and projection for public opinion and citizens whose children are victims of these attacks.
The inability of the Ministry of Intelligence to end this nationwide and dangerous disaster, whose long-term consequences on the health of the victims are unknown, has now officially brought the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Organization (SAS) to the fore. Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Corps, announced in a letter addressed to the Minister of Information that “the Army Corps is ready for any cooperation to speed up the prosecution of the case of poisoning children and deal seriously with the factors that cause psychological insecurity among Iranian families.” Previously, there were reports of the presence of IRGC intelligence officers in schools after chemical attacks.
“Getting involved” by the media and government officials is one of the things that has increased the probability of these attacks being government-related in public opinion. While some of the officials denied the biological attacks and talked about the mischief and mischief of the students by “exploding firecrackers” and “pepper spray”, another part talked about the lack of clues and security and law enforcement follow-ups.
In an article published on March 13, 1401, the newspaper Keihan Chap of Tehran took the lead and wrote that “the veterans of chemical attacks, biological terror, and poisoning in the world are certain regimes, and on the other hand, the same notorious regimes are trying to Accuse the Islamic Republic of poisoning its children and citizens with a combined “field-media” operation!
Although it is still not clear whether the perpetrators of organized biological attacks targeting students are groups, governments or individuals, people still have evidence such as sending repressive forces to schools and suppressing students and families and advising officials to lie and hide. They consider it enough to have the Islamic Republic in chemical attacks.
On the other hand, even if these attacks were carried out from outside the regime based on the claims of the authorities of the Islamic Republic, but this is the established government that is responsible for protecting the security and lives of the citizens, and the lack of work and negligence of the security, judicial and executive institutions in the last three months shows that the Republic With chronic irresponsibility, Islam is unable to protect the security and lives of citizens.
